Francis Henson is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, artist, teacher and writer based in Vancouver, BC.

Following the release of his independent debut album at 20 years old, Francis’ career continues to read as a play-by-play rollout of artistic tomfoolery not uncommon to musicians and those acceding to the archetype of creative—an insatiable hunger for the pretty notes in a life full of all the questionable ones.

For fans of Theo Katzman and Tom Misch—Francis’ recorded discography currently consists of 3 EP’s: Stride (2018), In My Mind Vol. I (2019), In My Mind Vol. II (2021) and 2 full-length LP’s: With A Little Bit Of Grace (2020), Boy Pacific (2021).

Themes of nostalgia and introspection offset with a culpable lust for raconteur humour are the lenses through which Francis views his work as a songwriter and non-fiction writer. He has plans for his third LP, The Archivist, to be released in 2027.

An active member of the Western Canadian music community, Francis also fronts alternative-rock group Frankie & The Juicebox and is an active session musician for beloved Vancouver artists including: Michaela Slinger, Kate Yahn, DACEY, Earth Tones, The Shorties, Mikey Jose, Bungalow, MELGAR, Couch Jams Collective, Cindy Dai-Thiessen, Dani Camacho, Julia Skye, Will Clements, Dean Thiessen & The Good Apples, Emmett Jerome, William Chernoff, among many more.
